its a passage from the book "The Defference Maker" by Jhon C. Maxwell.
A young girl was complaining her father about her problems and telling that her life is so difficult.
His father took her to kitchen where he put 3 pots of water on the stove to heat. meanwhile he cut carrots and put them into the first pot to boil. then he put two eggs in the second pot and added some coffee to third pot. after a few minutes he strained the carrots into one bowl, peeled the eggs into another and in a cup he poured the strained coffee. then he placed them before his daughter.
The confused daughter asked him, what's all this supposed to mean?
each of these items teach us something about the way we handle adversity.
Carrots started out hard but boiling water make them mushy.
Fragile eggs went into water and came out hard and rubbery.
Coffee changed water into something better.
you can choose how you will respond to your problems. you can let them make you weak. you can let them make you hard. or you can use them to create something beneficial. its all upto you.
